Sassy Cheryl's Show me #56

Merry Christmas to all.....   My last post I forgot two special people who sent me sent me birthday gifts.
My scrapbook buddies......  Sarah and Sharon.  Sarah gave me a gift certificate to Sassy Cheryl's digital images and Sharon a gift card to AC Moore. Two of my favorite things from two of my favorite people.

 I needed gifts for work....then remembered that Judy made Hershey bar wrappers.....Well, the night before I needed them.....I was coloring snowmen!! and wrapping candy bars!

Here is a picture of the big box that came to our house. It was from Brendan. He sent gifts all wrapped. Cinnamon of course checked the box for treats. He got his treats today from Santa.

I received this beautiful ornament of Rainbow row. The famous houses in Charleston. He also gave me a gift card to Michaels. Yay-- can't wait to go shopping.

Update on the Christmas tree....1 string of lights burned out of the prelit tree!! Oh well....worry about it next Christmas

Show Me # 55

 

Finally time to post...here is what has been going on with me! I went on a great cruise, actually it was a seminar at sea, so it was a work cruise. It was on the Norwegian Epic.
 Mac got a kidney stone, so he wasn't able to come.

We were all lucky because the trainer had to be in Las Vegas for someone or something more important than us....so only one seminar and one cocktail party!

We went to the ICE BAR...and that was what it was, a bar that was made of ice, ice seating, ice ceiling etc etc  They served Vodka drinks. They furnished heavy coats, and advised everyone to wear warm clothes and closed toe shoes!!  I did not bring closed toe shoes.  We were just in there long enough to have our two drinks. Took pictures and were we out of there. When you talk to others about this....it seemed the guests that were from the north managed better in the ice bar better than the Floridians did!

At home....my craft table came and was waiting for me when I got home. The Monday after I got home was my birthday! I received a beautiful ornament from my son. He got it at the Holiday Festival of Lights that was held on James Island, SC, plus other goodies, and a beautiful card. Beautiful roses from my husband. See the picture in the middle on the bottom. There was the a bouquet of flowers, balloon, and a card sitting on my desk from  all at WMPH Vacations. What a nice thing for a company to do.

 It was such a nice Christmas party.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #52

I am thankful that all the lights worked when I plugged in the tree! Every year, we had to replace lights.

I am thankful the plantation shutters were installed on time....this past Saturday, and all the star fish made the move.....still waiting for the bed...lost again!! They blamed it on the computer this time....2 months and no one can tell us where it is.

I am thankful that we are finally settled in our new house, beautiful weather, and no maintenance.

I am thankful that we were able to install the "sunsetter " awning. The plantation shutters installer helped us go that last 2 inches and into the brackets.

I am thankful for all my friends and family

especially our son, Brendan, and our kitty, Cinnamon

AND

I am most thankful that my husband, Mac,

who I took to the ER this morning, is feeling better. He is still in the hospital with a kidney stone. As many know it is very painful .

This is my card for Sassy Cheryl's Anything goes Challenge. This is actually the card I lost and never got posted for the embossing challenge!

Sure glad the theme is anything goes.

I have decided that walking on tile instead of carpet...my feet hurt! Having an upstairs takes some getting use to!! My feel felt just like this when we moved into our house in SC. I guess I just have to break them into the hard tile again.

I was up early, started putting up the Christmas tree at 6:30am!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. The first one I was able to enjoy, and didn't have to be at work at 4am!

It has been a while since I played along. Moving time is getting close. We purchased TVs now we are waiting for the cable company to install....and hook up the internet.

There was a beautiful rainbow over our house....actually a double rainbow that we saw when we left the development.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #47

I have been so busy, with a new job and the new house. I have done so many ship inspections, that they are all running together!! I have taken pictures, so that helps. I feel like I have been in Miami more than I have been in West Palm Beach!! I am sure getting use to the traffic. Now the drive to Delray Beach is a breeze!!

This is a house warming card for the first neighbor that has moved in after us!

Actually we have not moved in yet. We have been busy getting fans installed, pictures hung, and boxes unpacked. The plantation shutters have been ordered, but we are waiting for 4-5 weeks on them and we are still waiting on the master bedroom bed.

This past weekend the security system was installed. I also moved over all my scrapbook stuff!! I still have Disney training to do, and it needs to be completed by October 31st!! I was told it takes 3 weeks to complete...and I haven't started yet!

REALLY getting tired of this condo. I am finding that what I want and need is at the house, and I have to stop there before going to work!!

We visited through Skype ....shared pictures....it was like being there! (well kinda!)

This will be a very short post....no scrapbooking this week...except to move many boxes of scrapbooking supplies, that my husband isn't happy about.....he just doesn't understand....."this is just my had to keep"....I got rid of ALOT! And the stuff in the condo hasn't been factored in yet! ~ His question.....How did you get all this stuff? Paper is heavy!~

The POD arrived on Monday...unpacked Monday night, being picked up today! 2 weeks to fill 2 hours to empty

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #42? lost track!

My weeks fly by....I did manage to complete some Halloween treat holders.......if anyone wants the tutorial, let me know I will search, find, and send!




My new home away from home. My new office....loving my new career. It is in Delray Beach, Fl......about 20 minutes drive from West Palm Beach... about the same as I was driving from Little River, to Myrtle Beach.... Reeds Jewelers.....and NO musty mall! And I now have hot water... and that is just the beginning!

My husband surprised me Friday night.... he sent me an address, and asked to meet him after work....
He went to school with a guy who owns the Old Key Lime House in Lantana, Fl

We were invited to cruise on his Tiki Boat. It was a nice cruise that took us down the Waterway ....to Boynton Beach, Fl... He invited us to dinner....what a wonderful surprise.

Today is my Skype day....I get to talk to my brother and his children. We catch up with what we both did all week........

Now that today is my day off......It will involve grocery shopping, taking my husband's lap top for service...and if they say there is no hope or it is not worth it to me to put more money into it....I will be buying a new one!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge # 79 Happy Birthday

Tough week.....but a good week....went to South Carolina.....North Myrtle Beach & Little River....and we did go to Myrtle Beach.... Brendan our so drive up from Isle of Palms. SC to spend two days with us.....It was great to be a tourist...I saw things that I had never seen before!! I did things I never did when I lived there...... Today is Labor day...and maybe the first time that I am not working on Labor day.....Yeah... off to the pool I go! One week from today, I start my new job......

What a mess, but it was cleaned up by 5pm. Cinnamon was sitting among my stuff..but didn't seem to make the picture. The top picture is a congratulation on your home card I made for a relative....IKEA tape measure that I got at one of our furniture hunting trips, and Birthday paper..that always comes in handy.
The bottom pictures are the close up of my scrapbooking layouts...some Myrtle Beach memories. I need to finish them before I can start on my Florida pictures..

Sassy Cheryl Show Me # 38

…where did this week go.....Oh yeah.... Hurricane, the new house, manicure, and pedicure, and packing for my visit to Myrtle Beach....for a while I thought it may be cancelled. Hopefully I will be able to fly into Wilmington....I guess time will tell, I best be ready. Hurricanes are not a new experience for us. A lot less stressful when there is no property involved....this time I worry about Brendan in Isle of palms....and so glad he wasn't in Puntacana. I saw the pictures from there.

Now my pictures- I am working on our coffee table and on the sofa, just finished my Challenge card, and about to start a new scrapbooking project. Take a look at our storm lantern, my hurricane preparedness purchase. Thank goodness I went on Monday because yesterday Walmart had empty shelves. Brendan went to his Walmart, and it was empty also! Anyway….I am prepared!

I went to look at the completed landscaping at our house…looks great. And the new plantings will get lots of water soon.

Heading to the post office…the 24 hr automated post office….to mail our tags to N Myrtle Beach, don't want a problem at the airport…..now that we have Florida tags & am turning my SC ones in (sad ) But it does make me feel that I belong here now.

Well now that hurricane Irene has passed Myrtle Beach, and all our friends are safe, and my flight has not been cancelled.....I will be flying to Wilmington, NC tomorrow.

Missed CK in Charlotte, but my friend Sarah checked it out for me.... Rhonda and my Wilmington scrapbooking friends are there, can't wait to hear all about it.
